He makes some very well justified points.

Strange how I never saw this in any of the newspapers...

And on the media's reporting of it - I can remember from their reports was that he claimed "another 9/11 could happen".

And that's about it really.
Shows how much they focused on the scaremongering factor of what he was saying then.

That's my main distrust of pretty much all mainstream media sources - there is always an agenda. Sometimes it looks like news that I want to hear and is all too easy to believe in and wave about as justification for my views, but that's as bad as pointing out the hypocrisy and propaganda of right-wing idealogues as The Daily Mail/Telegraph etc.

My reaction to any news source is to take a step back and ask why they are reporting that and in who's interest.
Be it Bin Laden's tapes never recieving translation or summary, or the seemingly crusading journalism of the Guardian - always ask what is behind the story.

It is interesting - there's no attempt at even trying to understand the other side. Because it's plain evil, and yet 'our' side is plain good.

Yeah I thought that too, they take about one sentence out the whole transcript and still alter it.

Thing is though, an articulate sucker of Satan's mangland is just as much a crusted dollop of syphillitic septegenarian semen as a mumbling, idiotic, chimplike sucker of Satan's mangland.

Bin Laden gets power and influence out of this War on Terror, so it's in his interests to keep it going. The same can be said of Bush. I may despise Dubya, but I'm not falling into the trap of thinking that my enemy's enemy is my friend.
