Decided I have to get this, will be around the end of January when I (finally) have BB.

Anyone here planning on playing this? I've decided on being a Night Elf Rogue so if anyone wants to create a party with me you'll have to be one of the Alliance races.

Been reading about it and it sounds brilliant so, yeah.

Yes you can start gangs, and no, you won't get PAWN'D by some sweaty nerds! Other people cannot kill you anyway, as long as you don't go on the player vs. player servers. World of Warcraft plays best with friends, and other people - i had some good fun teaming up with others last night. If you get it, I'll be more than happy to show you around!

Last time i checked, Halifax had some beta keys in stock! I don't need to tell you which shop...

So I'm not going to get mauled by a bunch of sweaty nerds the second I spawn?

This has long been my fear of MMORPGS - a fear that has constantly put me off the genre.

Can you start gans/guilds? I'd like to go around with some other guys before I venture off on my own...

No, it doesn't. I have never really played a Warcraft game before - this is a different kettle of fish. So easy, so simple, and so enjoyable and so far its a real breath of fresh air!

I dunno.

WoW has a huge fanbase, whereas SB had nothing.

the problem with an expensive one-off cost, is that it will more than likely put people off (well, all but the hardcore).

The same problem happened with Steel Batallion on Xbox, although the cost there was understandable due to the colossal controller.

I wouldn't mind getting in and trying this game for the £3 though, just in case I don't like it.

Same problem here.

I did play iRO for like... 3 months, but got annoyed... Great game though. I just couldn't afford however much it was...

Ugh... Why can't it be an expensive one-time fee, then nothing after? Surely they don't need that much money for servers.

I gotta say, this is the first monthly-sub game I'm actually putting a lot of consideration into.

Does it matter that I've never played a Warcraft game before? Will I still be able to get the hang of it?

We get to play an excellent game for free (When I say free I mean a £3 deposit on the actual game) for a few months before the actual game is released in Europe.
