RARE shouldnt make their own console. They are a software company, not a hardware company for a start.

Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, is there enough room in the market for another console? Sega have already shut down the hardware side of things, and that was before the XBox was released!

I think that RARE should keep doing what they do best, making games.

Why would Rare feel the need to make thier own console anyway? Nintendo have a huge stake in them and any Nintendo console can be seen as a rare console. I suppose one reason could be the fact that Rare might feel a little resticted by Nintendo. I say this because Conkers Bad fur day had a tough time being released over here because nintendo didnt want the game gettin into little kidies hands. If it wasnt for THQ it wouldnt have cam out here right?

I don't think RARE should make their own console, they do good things with nintendo, and although it could be cool, they have no console experience and many Sony owners don't like RARE. So, no, it's a bad idea.

Yes. Killer Instinct actually was around before any of the existing consoles. It was actually the first game ever, before Pong.

And Dringo is the best poster on the forum.

I remember the original and it was on the C64 (or possibly the Spectrum or something first). Of course there was Double Dragon and things like that but i'm not entirely sure which was the absoloute first (plus Double Dragon wasn't really one on one combat).

Based around a Killer Instinct interview?? Bo**ocks.

TS is okay. not brilliant.

So NO, I don't need to thank Rare.

Before that there were no platformers. Ever.

If he was talented, I'm sure he could have worked for any number of developers.

Tekken was also based around Killer

Killer Instinct was the original beat 'em-up. Before Rare invented the genre, there were none, so games like Tekken would never have come around.

In fact I don't believe that there would be a games indusrty at all if it wasn't for Rare.

In fact, I doubt that there would even be any life on Earth whatsoever, with them being responsible for creation and everything too.

Ofcourse the original Crash borrowed heavily off DKC.

That's why it's so great.
