Matt and David confirmed this in an interview about the last series. All the outdoorsey shots are shown to an audience after being recorded. So all is well, I believe 'em.

What I never understood is that they have all these outdoor scenes, how can they record that in front of a live audience?

Despite it being hilarious, it's a bit disgusting.

Bullett, if you watch the extras on the series 1 DVD you'll see that the laughter isn't canned.

Oh come on.

Aside from a few laughs here and there, it's rubbish! Shockingly crude in places as well as repetitive in others.

They should have left it as one series.

Last night was great.

"The show is ending a little early tonight, as I need to go and do a poo now."

Magic.

Haha, it may be a little sad, but I sent an email to BBC about the canned laughter. This is their (lame) response:

Dear Mr Bullett(name changed to protect my sexy identity)

Thank you for your e-mail regarding 'Little Britain'.

Your comments have been raised with the 'Little Britain' programme-makers. I can inform you that the show is recorded in front of a live studio audience and therefore no canned laughter is added to the programme. The amount of laughter generated, particularly during pre-recorded material, is so loud on occasions they have to edit some of it out because it overspills to when the characters are reading their lines.

The level of the laughter used, the producer assures us, is the same level as used in many other comedy programmes over the last 21 years. Ultimately, the laughter heard is an integral part of the programme and the series will continue to be recorded in front of a live audience.

Please be assured your comments have been registered, and that we will continue to monitor audience reaction to the programme. As a fan, you might like to visit the following 'Little Britain website:

So hang on...they transport a 'Live Studio Audience' out to all the shooting locations? I may be wrong but that sounds balls as it is.

Surely what they do is record it all, edit it up for programming and run it by a 'Live Studio Audience' before transmission, for quality purposes?

I'm not in the TV business so don't know. Either way, it still sounds like bloody fake-ass canned laughter.

Still, it didn't get in the way so much last night. I enjoyed it muchos :D
