My mate managed to run, but I was in shock, and fell to teh ground, before one of them punched me (the other chased my mate)
Then, as the other guy came back, he said "This is schnidey" then punched me straight in the nose.
Moral of this story - kill all neds.

Yeah, someone that squares up to you, chances are they're just drunk and looking for a fight.
Someone jumps you from behind, they are possibly muggers, and are more likely to pull a knife on you.
Trust me on this.

Ok so if they hadn't have jumped you and went at you head on you'd have fought them no problems but because they jumped you you're going to try and run and suddenly they may have a knife? What's the difference, if you think they've got a knife you're going to run either way.

I bet all your mates shout under their breath, "get the lanky one!"
They could have had a knife for all we know.
In fact, I'd have been more pisssed of if he'd stayed rather than run.
One person injured is better than two.
And if we'd fought, we'd have gotten our asses kicked.
Well duh.
He's not gonna chase him if he doesn't run.
He's going to punch him in the face.
He who fights and runs away won't get stabbed and sure ain't gay.
I made that up there.
And I know he's a real mate, seeing as we've been mates since I was 3.
If I hadn't been shocked I would have ran too, but, I fell, and didn't really realise what was going on.
Once the guy stopped he waited for me and phoned for help."
Aye aye. The guy was chasing him BECAUSE he ran away. Personally, I'm not "allowed" to run away, my mates would beat me up afterwards if I did. It's sort of a rule, which applies to everyone, though this was when we were 16 and fights were common/likely. Now we're a little older, a little wiser, but there are still radgies out there, sometimes as young as 14, who are willing to have a go at a group that consists of royal marines, amateur boxers, win chun students and, er, me.
