Excellent news, although I probably watch too much Simpsons as it is already.
how can one little shielded copper cable create so much happiness?
I can think of several answers to that.
One thing I've learnt from watching Futurama and The Simpsons on different channels.
The Simpsons
Sky 1 - Some cuts
BBC2 - No cuts
Futurama
Sky 1 - No cuts
Channel 4 - Lots of cuts
Now I don't know if The Simpsons will be cut, espcially as they're treating it with a little more respect than they did with shows like Futurama and King of the Hill. But still it was incredible seeing how much they had cut out of Futurama, it did ruin some of the episodes. I would have prefered to have had The Simpsons on BBC2.

I suppose they'll cut in two for the ad breaks as well.
They need more room for their ads and the sponsorship deal so lets just cut a few scenes here and there no one will notice.
Yeah how come they are now on Channel 4. Obviously the BBC lost the rights. However im shocked..
Oh well, it's just like the "Joey" series going to Channel 5.

Yup. It's about as poor as the last series of Friends was, but I think the main reason I don't like it is that incredibly cheesy intro.
Saying that, new Simpsons haven't been too hot either.
