Hmmm 70's it is then, not a bad list is it ?
No Blondie, T-Rex, Marvin Gaye (Will be in the 60's instead) James Brown, 10CC, Eagles, Donna Summer, Don Mclean or Kate Bush.

It seems to be that they're leaving out some of the great bands so viewers will still watch next year. They're doing this each year and if they use up all the good names, who's going to bother watching?

All about the ratings.

I had a draem the other day and Stevie Wonder was in it.
It was the middle of a war, he ran down a hill with his pet rat (??) and the entire bottom half of the hill exploded.

My dreams are odd.

I'm backing Led Zeppelin for the 70's, or Queen
Dunno if they're 60's bands or not, think it was the 70's though

I meant the idiot kids who will vote for Williams, some under 18's have taste.
I'm really looking forward to the 70's and 60's ones, i lot of talented people are going to miss out, i can say straight away i'm backing Stevie Wonder for the 70's and if he's not one of the 10 i will lose all faith in the judges, there's no way he'll be left out.
60's i'm going for Smokey Robinson.

Hence why I turned it off, If I'd known there was more, I'd have suffered to find out who was there, I gave Dre the chance to explain why he was worrthy, but Missy Elliot? Errr, no.

And at least Robbie made some good songs, but it's likely he';ll get in, when quite obviously Radiohead should.

What I can't understand is why the Chillis were in the 90's and REM the 80's

Weird.
Well, I wouldn't want to be barred from voting, apart from in the 70's, that's a hell of a decade.

Yesh much annoyance at their absence, i believe i said " You've got to be fu**ing kidding me ! " when found out they wouldn't be in it.

I think that was just the way they presented it, i dont think the judges set them into groups of 3.

Didn't miss much then, she was the last one on.

I'm more bothered about Robson Williams, he was No 1 that week and there was a documentary on him a little while ago which smacks on trying to influence the vote, i'm hoping Channel 4 have barred the under 18's from voting but even then there's enough stupid people around to vote for him, it would ruin the whole programme.

They were beaten out by Radiohead.
THe way it worked, I think, was they picked 30 bands, then, they picked 1 out of every 3, and Pulp was in with Radiohead and Suede.

I turned it off as soon as it told me she was the next one.

He's not in for the music he made, but more for the music he produced, which I can see why.
Snoop Dogg, Eminem, etc have sold millions of albums

But Spice Girls?
Come on!

I like REM but i prefer their 90's stuff, The Smiths were occassionally brilliant but overrated, Joy division weren't around long enough, Springsteen wont win, neither will public enemy, G & R, Prince or the beasties.
It'll be REM, Jackson or George Michael.
Michael Jackson probably deserves to win but i want REM.
