Desperate to see this but not had the time.

Could somebody please give me a good description or brief overview of the story and compare it to other martial arts films...

Pyscho Poetpansy and Mike Spakker going to watch a kung-fu movie....better hope an adult comes and keeps an eye on you two, no telling what imitation tomfoolery you will get up to in the car park.

Sun, snow, it's all the same to me. Whenever you're ready, of course.

That's a definite, but you'll have to wait until I've sorted my life out first - the place is a mess and the missus is unpredictable. Can we take a rain-check?

At work, we get about 1,000 Expresses and Mails, a few billion Mirrors, Sports and stuff, and probably 10 Times/Telegraphs. Perhaps 3/4 Guardians/Observers.

I want to see Hero.

You have to drive all the way to Swansea just to see a movie?

The Daily Mail warned me about people like you! You're trying to groom me, aren't you! PEDO! PEDO!

Seriously though, I'm up for that, catch me on MSN some time.

If you drive a bit further and take me to the UGC in Rubery you'll:

a) get a free ticket (they let the wheelchair pusher in free);
b) enjoy it in a THX standard cinema
c) get a beer/some beers
d) meet me

;^)

Heh, spot-on. It started about music, actually. I hadn't heard of some band, so I was immediately struck down as a know-nothing. Quite annoying, but he's a nice enough chap. Occassionally...

That rag is like having an elderly relative that complains about "nig-nogs" come round and tut loadly when she finds you read DH Lawrence and discovers your passion for DVDS that don't have singing and dancing in.
How anybody can think that "newspaper" is worth anything more than fish-wrapping staggers belief.

And I know people like your mate that strive to be "cutting edge" and hip. These are the exact people that will love 21grams because it's deep and painful etcetc, or will like a band until somebody else does, then sniff about them having "sold out" and go on a trek to discover the latest fad. Usuall searching whilst on a micro-scooter, ironic hair and japanese manga tshirts.

The Big Issue said it was excellent though, so that can bring the average back up...

A lot of hype is building up about this movie for me.. should have ordered the DVD a while back, but hey, I guess it's meant to be seen in the cinema anyway. Problem being however, is my nearest cinema (Dolby Mono, I jest, but I don't think I'm that far off), and is currently showing Garfield, and The Village. The likelyhood of Hero appearing is rather small. Makes me want to run a cimena myself.

I'll drive up to Swansea sometime. Everyone's buggered off back to Uni now, going to the cimena on your own is rather sad.
