Im in fine physical condition, i dont go to the gym, i save money in the long run and do it at home.
There are a couple of things, like the big machines, that arent so easy to get at home, but there is a way to do it with convensional weights.
One thing that annoys me, is when people drive to the gym, then do about 5 miles on the tredmill. You might aswell of jogged to the gym.....

I lost a lot of weight recently cos of illness, oh and the "nearing" isnt valid anymore ;p

Squat
Lunge
Dead-lift
Calf-raise
And so on
Leg exercises ain't too good though and it becomes a hassle at times changing the weights for the various exercises. Thats why the resistance machines at the gyms make things simpler. Might find out if any of the local gyms have special rates going for students, last time I checked they didn't but maybe things have changed since.
