Has anyone noticed that MGS1 was supposed to take place this year ? Metal Gear 2:Solid Snake took place in 1999, if you haven't played it you can read "Previous Missions", and in MGS1 after the Ninja Boss fight Snake said that he fought Gray Fox on a minefield in Zanzibar 6 years ago, which means that MGS1 took place this year !!!

I said "In Zanzibar", which is the place where Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake takes place.

You could have explained it by just saying that you fight grey fox in a mindefield in MGS:SS

A yes, of course, two sequels and stuff now it all makes incredibly daft sense.

Simply what I'm saying is that there are four games in the Metal Gear series:

Metal Gear (1987)
Originaly released for Nintendo Entertainment System.
The events of the game took place in the year 1995.

Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (1990)
Originaly released for Master System 2 (MSX2).
The events of the game took place in the year 1999.

Metal Gear Solid (1998)

Originaly released for Sony Playstation.
The events of the game took place in 2005.

Metal Gear Solid 2 : Sons Of Liberty (2001)
Originaly released for Sony Playstation 2.
The events of the game took place between the years 2005 and 2009.
