Well that will have been decided already surely? I mean they have to develop it on the new format or the current format. I doubt they can change it all half way through.

I thought it was cool. It's probably 3rd on my list of all time consoles.

You make this sound as if it's a pathetic point and just an excuse for other companies to use, where as I would see it as a huge flaw. I just couldn't see a console not having multi-format games.

I must admit that I was linked to it myself and have never been interested in the XB myself.
The basic jist was that they would have a gaming console. With raw specs but good gaming ability. Then a second (more expensive) "computer console" which was basically a pc purely for gaming. Ie. loads of Memory, suposedly better graphics etc. Then a third, a media-centre, which was supposed to be a mix of the second, with it's increased gaming ability, but also be able to play DVDs, CDs etc.
In short:
1- Games console (£200+)
2- Advanced console (250-350)
3- Media centre (500)
Be warned though that I heard about all this last month and that I may not have repeated it completely accurately, as I lost interest straight after I read it. As for a link, I'm sure you can google it.
