has anyone ever torn a muscle or cracked a bone??

i'm fairly sure i've done one or the other (more than likely the muscle) and i was wondering if anyone knew how long they take to heal?
because i did this about 2 weeks ago and it still hurts. If it persists then i'll go to the doctors, but wanted to see if anyone knew anything that could help before i did that...

I've picked up a fair few knee injuries, because I never warm up and because of a hereditary knee problem. The worst one happened when I was 11- I went to pick up a football after someone had knocked it out for a goal-kick. I ended up sliding down a bank, and knocking my right knee into a rather large rock. I then made it worse by coming back into the game a few minutes later and trying a few ill-advised slide tackles.

I unfortunately have a habit of causing sports injuries to other people- I've broken someone's finger in a football match and accidently swung a hockey stick in some poor mug's face. Despite the fact I basically knocked out two of his teeth, he saw the funny side. Plus my aggressive style of playing football has resulted in several people getting pretty nasty bruising.

well, Doc rules: muscle problem, so just take anti-imflammatories, strap it up and let it heal. pleased to hear it wasn't a bone fracture or anything though.

i'll be back to business next wedensday i imagine, BOOM! :)

and farking typical, i make the appointment yesterday and today it feels better anyways!!

I've bruised a bone, if that counts.. :p
That took 5/6 months to stop hurting.. Unless it was some other problem. I'd say it was a sporting injury, though. Skiing down the stairs or something? :)
