"Decent Graphics card cooler..."

Up to £60, a decent graphics card cooler for an X800 XT PE, something that will cool it significantly. I have dual vantec fans at 4000RPM underneath the card and a 12cm 4000RPM blowing on the card but I want something to extract the heat and cool it on a more stable basis.

tigamilla, I know you did an X800 Pro. What sort of cooling on the actual card did you use?

Sent off for a replcaement and a spare set of screws if they break again. Received the Vantec BGA Memory chip coolers today. Enabled me to put 30mhz on the memory which took my 3DMark03 score to 14,200. Still looking at the Arctic cooler for top clocking, I'd hang on if I was you, I will let eceryone know how it goes to save us all wasting money.

Unless you need a rev 4 to fit your card, stick with the Rev 3. I suppose that's both of you two going with rev 4s then.

Having seen reviews of the Revision 4, Im quite sold. Although there were numerous complaints with regard to broken screws or screws that felt very breakable.

The price is something of a bargain as well

Indeed, they had supposedly fixed that issue but they clearly haven't. I have ordered some of the Vantec 100% copper RAM coolers to cool all 8 sides of the BGA RAM on the Vide Card, they supposedly enable it to be clocked 30-40mhz faster, the memory that is.

Was that the revision 4 one Alistair?

Yeah. Emailed them last night so I am waiting their response as to why is it so shoddy.

Is that the VGA silencer?

Safe to say it is shoddy, haven't even been able to test it. They said they had fixed the screw issue where they break off as you fit the copper plate to the back of the card but they were wrong. All four screws broke off so I am sending it back today. No doubt I will have to try it out with an exchange on another one but from what I have seen of this one it looks like a shoddy piece of kit that needs to be bathed and cared for just to get it up and running.

I managed to break 14,000 on 3dMark03 yesterday so I am hoping to go that bit further.

Would be really interested in this. Knowing that I can unlock the extra 4 pipelines on my VIVO X800Pro I can also overclock too 530mhz core and 600(1200 ddr)mhz without extra cooling (XT PE Stock Speeds). WOuld benice to hit 600/600 just by slapping on a cooler.
