Up to £60, a decent graphics card cooler for an X800 XT PE, something that will cool it significantly. I have dual vantec fans at 4000RPM underneath the card and a 12cm 4000RPM blowing on the card but I want something to extract the heat and cool it on a more stable basis.

tigamilla, I know you did an X800 Pro. What sort of cooling on the actual card did you use?

Cheers.

I left my PC on all night and it is currently on today. Going to have a gander at 3D Mark05 tonight and see how it goes.

Had a bash on Thief 3 last night. 1280 x 1024, 4x AA and 4x AF with all settings maxed out. Average frame rate was 65fps, lovely.

Heh!

Yeah I can't really tell, then again that is possibly the dual 4500RPM Vantec fan set underneath, the 3200RPM 9CM fan above and the Sunbeam 4700RPM 12CM fan to the side, not to mention the CPU fan and dual PSU fan, two 8CM fans in the side of the case, and one 8CM at the front and an 8CM at the back...

Then we have the Hard Drive heat extractor and dual fan set...

The list goes on...

That sounds awesome! Is it quiter than the stock fan as well? Then again you might not be able to hear the diffrence thanks to your 9 fans! :P

Geil GPU/BGA Thermal paste on the graphics card however the CPU came with Arctic Silvewr in a huge pad that disperssed when I fix the heat sink to the motherboard.

What sort of thermal paste did you use? The bed in time for Arctic Silver is around 200 hours. So 8 days.

12 - 15 degrees cooler with load.

Simple conclusion - buy!

Overclocked at 587 607 GPU/Memory respectively. I am going to try again tomorrow once I have left the thermal paste time to bed in.

Shazam!

Up and running. Just put it in now. Stock cooling temp down by 9-10 degrees. Going to run a few bench tests, will let you know what I can clock it to.

Take two...

It arrives today. Will have a blast when I get in from work and then I will let you know if it was just a really dodgy batch for the card.

Here is to hoping!
