Who stay away from home.

How expensive is it exactly?
Do you have a part time job etc

My plan for next year is to move into the 'Student Villiage' in the centre of Glasgow. It's like £75 a week or something. But, if I save up my loan for the next year and my wages and can still come home to work at weekends I could afford it I think.

Since the place I'm staying is next to the station and my work is next to a station it'll only take me about 45 minutes to get to work.

Waheh, I get to be a real student... next year.

Saved up for a year or so before Uni, got a nice little flat in posh-ish area of Cambridge, money ran out so travelled the next 2 years - hour there, hour back, tenner per day. For my fourth year I'll still be travelling, as it could only be 1 day a week!

The place I'm looking at is about £3500 to stay in. I think I could live off £2500 a year.

I earn about £3000 a year plus overtime and my loan would be about £2500-£3000.

Plus about say a grand loan leftover from the other two years. Plus my parents would give me the money I'm not using at home. i.e food etc

OH YEAH

Thanks guys, I'm doing it next year.

A student house at mine costs 55 quid a week per person. that equates to just over 2 and a half grand a year. Then a grand tuition

call it 3600

then you need about 2.5/3 grand grand for the rest i'd guess

I'd say if you go out a lot and are a bit frivolous yet not stupid about 6 grand a year should do it. (3 grand loan? 2 grand summer working? 1 grand other sources, savings, working easter or chrimbo, part time rentboy job, being a pikey scotsman, no tuition? thats a grand saved!)

I remember getting up at 4 in the morning and sleeping right after I got home from work. It was a tight schedule, but I didn't lose much sleep over it. Also meant I got the hall pretty much to myself, as everyone was sleeping or drunk.
