How expensive is it exactly?
Do you have a part time job etc
My plan for next year is to move into the 'Student Villiage' in the centre of Glasgow. It's like £75 a week or something. But, if I save up my loan for the next year and my wages and can still come home to work at weekends I could afford it I think.
Since the place I'm staying is next to the station and my work is next to a station it'll only take me about 45 minutes to get to work.
Waheh, I get to be a real student... next year.

Except from the people who get a full scholarship to Uni. They don't deserve to be shot, as obviosuly they worked hard to get it.

How's that?
I haven't even got my loan (or tuition fee grant) yet, the lazy sods.
I'll be paying £35 a week plus bills next year. £75 per person seems like a hell of a lot. Even for decent city-centre stuff, it's a lot to lay out for a student. I'd expect you could do better privately, if you can fill a house/flat.

Actually, it's the other way round, but let's not talk about that.

You'll go out one night to a student £1 drinks night, then wake up the next morning, in bed, next to fat Steve...
Not that I've done that before.
No, seriously.
Stop laughing.

You're just jealous because I get paid more than you.

I think slaving away in a crappy job is part of the experience as well... kinda. Not a fun one.
I am well anxious about university, the course = perfect! Worrying about moving from family members who are ill a two and a half year boyfriend and of course MONEY!
Somehow i ended up with a 5700 loan... and there paying for a slight of my tuition fees. This is prob because i am studying where the locals generally will be seen in none other than a porsche or maybe a bmw for those pikeys out there.. none other than kingston upon thames!
I also got a grant which was nice from a town i went to school in (not even my home town)
I didnt want my parents to pay for everything, i am the first in the family as in the ENTIRE family to dare step into higher education so i wanted to work my ass off and make them proud and see what a good option it was other than working
Because of my mahoosive loan i reaaaaally dont wanna spend it all each yr. So 3300 for accomodation mum and dad helping with food (ill come back and mama sort me out) tuition fees and travel should be covered by bursary :) yay
Basically i gonna slave my skinny ass through a job between studies and work all summer
I will be ok.... wont i??? Where you going lawrence!?
Everyone either went straight to Uni in Glasgow or went in some crappy job.
Maybe 2% moved out of the town.
