It was terrible, RARE filled the game up with hundreds of moves in order for you to complete the hundreds of puzzles. Compare this to Kazooie or Mario 64 where there were a handful of moves used to work out all the puzzles.

You were asked to do stupid button combinations to do silly moves and each level had almost the exact same structure just looked different and a little harder. Just like the other piece of crap Donkey Kong 64.

I just hope RARE'll one day go back to basics and return themselves to the greatness of Banjo Kazooie.

A: No it wasn't it was one of RARE's worst games.

B: Conker was released in 2001, so I take back the five year comment.

Rare were gaming giants 5/6 years ago and were respected throughout the gaming industry.

Goldeneye was the saviour of the N64 and catapulted Rare on to a pedestal that was so high that they HAD to continue producing quality games, and they did! The truck loads of cash that rolled in from certain games meant they could take time on each game but that began to slow 2000/2001. Banjo Tooie was released and was a superb game, still played now by many people and sells for big bucks on ebay. Conker is just perfection, it really is. Its the game i'm playing at the moment and the quality, from the gameplay to the soundtrack still amazes me.

There were obviously huge problems between Rare and Nintendo and we'll probably never know what! You dont sell off (a successful) part of your company for nothing!

In answer to the question, yeh rare will come up with the goods at some point in the future, but in my opinion its for that reason Nintendo sold them!

Rare'll be back although they're taking their time considering the Xbox's likely lifespan.

Better have 2 kickass launch titles for Xbox2/next/mr magoo's big black box of hell
