Many people have waited for years for a console that is not Nintendo with the usual line of of Nintendo games. And the stylus is not going to save the DS. DS just is not powerfull enough to take on PSP. How many years til the GBA2 is released?
You kind of missed my tongue in cheek there Macio.
Yes, Playstation loading times were not quite 5 minutes, but you get the picture.
And there was no disc changing on the N64 (or cart changing for that matter) wheras for some Playstation games like Final Fantasy 7, you had to waste a good 5-10 seconds of your life, changing the disc TWO TIMES every time you played through the game!!!! :-O
:-)
In answer to your networking enquiry, Nintendo already use the standard, for both the Gamecube and the DS, but you never know for the revolution.
Heck, maybe the consoles will communicate my sense of smell...
Anything's possible, right Dringo? ;-D

You have faild to answer anything sucsesfully.
5 Mins loading time. Its less than that, and you dont have to keep switching discs.
And when PS2 was launched, there were no Multi-region (or UK only) DVD Players for £40. Thats the bit of my text you missed out.
Green screen playback? You were using the RGB connector on a Movie playback. If you use the original Sony plug, you dont have the problem. I never had Green screen playback on my PS2.
Other than the connection to the phone line or Cable connection, you need a network protocal in software that the equipment/games works with. Like the TCP/IP standard. Would Nintendo use that or invent their own? 50/50 I say. Inventing their own would be more likely to be problamatic as everyone else would be different, so interaction would be vital. Get it wrong, and it wont work.

Wahey.
*explodes*
They said that:
"If 5% of Ninty gamers got a DS, they'd be happy."
So if 5% of Ninty's get it, they're definately happy.
There's nothing saying that if less than 5% get it that they'll definately be unhappy. They COULD be happy, but not necessarily.
So you know where you can stick YOUR logic Munn, because MY logic OWNS you! :-D

I wonder if they'd be sad if 4% of Ninty owners got a DS, and the rest of the entire population of the world got one.
That would leave only 96% of Ninty gamers being the only people in the world without a DS, but Nintendo would still be sad?
FLAWED LOGIC!!

Hahaha.

Yeah. I really missed waiting 5 minutes of loading time between rounds of Goldeneye.
> They decided against standard DVD - another big mistake.
I know! I had to spend another whole £40 to get a multi-region DVD player! AND it had to come out of the £70 I saved in getting a Gamecube instead of a PS2!
AND it meant that I couldn't watch my DVD's in green like those special effect PS2s did!!!11!!!!!1!

Yeah. Instead of plugging into a phoneline like normal services, they're going to wire it through your ass...

It's a possibility, but we're more likely to get invaded by martians before then! ;-)
The DS is doing too well.
Sure the PSP might get the upper hand over all, but wipe the floor with it? I doubt it.
