Basically I need a good antivirus programme and I am willing to pay for one.

Basically tell me what the best antivirus out there is, reguardless of the cost.

I need it to be availible to install on two routed computers without having to pay for two copies (I think thats extortionate)

So throw some suggestions my way people please.

Thanks a lot.

AVG. http://www.grisoft.com. They also do a free version which you can install on both computers and it is very good despite being free.

I found that the McAfee anti-virus software was excellent for under a tenner. It picked up a virus which Norton missed, plus some spyware. You're also given the option of downloading the McAfee Firewall, Spam Filter and Privacy software for a 30 free trial.

I tried installing a copy of Norton (and it was a copy) but it totally chewed my PC up.

I might try McAfee but a legit version.

No more pirate software for me.

We have one copy of Norton Suite 2003. Installed on PC downstairs, and then installed on my PC. I uninstalled it after it presented me with loads of useless crap (go back, ghost etc) that I don't use. I'm now back with Norton Antivirus 2003, which came with my PC.

Moral of the story- one copy will work on two PC's.

i dunno about norton, but the new mcafee anti vuris is incredble.

You could get a copy of norton security suite from ebay for £20, you may be able to get away with installing it on both computers.

Thank you for dealing with this so promptly it's nice having a service provider that offers a good service, rare to find nowadays.
Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
