I'm getting a DVD player and I would like to know what pluging an amplifier into it would do to the sound. I already have the sound coming out of my stero for my current DVD player. Would it increase the bass or what?

Thank you!

directly, though? or via a television set?

Will you have scart leads or rgb leads to a tv, then the leads from the tv to the stereo speakers?

Or are the speakers stand-alone models linked to the xbox/dvd player?

All stereo outputs are the same. ALL OF THEM.

Just different sizes which can be remedied by a nice little socket size minimiser/maximiser.

Does your dvd player have external audio leads or are you playing it through the tv?

I think you just need a switch splitter. you'll plug the leads from the dvd player and the leads from the xbox into one side of an alternator - and the other side will lead to the speakers and sub. Then you can switch between the two at the flick of a button.

I really appreciate this guys. But I think I'd like to get a Subwoofer instead, now I know what it does. I have my DVD/Xbox hooked up for the sound to come out of my Stero Speakers. Is there a way to plug a Subwoofer into my stero and still have the sound from my DVD/Xbox come out of the stero speakers and a subwoofer? The guy in Bennetts said my Aiwa JAX-T8 ain't compatible with the Subwoofers I was looking at (the only ones they had were on sale). Weird, because my stero's the best one they have

Not necessarily. It depends on the speakers output range.

I've got some 2 foot Sony speakers in my living room that have a better bass level than the two satelite speakers and a sub in my room.

The sub doesnt always mean the bass will be better, it just means your room will shake more.

Yeah, you would only see an increase in bass if you used a good subwoofer.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
