Anyway, I've not really a clue about what I need to protect myself from being screwed over by some angry hacker who is looking for world domination.
I've heard the integrated XP firewall is rubbish or something.
We've got 2 computer, connected via router setup etc.
So, what software do I need to be safe and stuff?
Cheers.
What's going on, eh?
You think ZoneAlarm is worth installing, ergo, you are wrong.
Azul no, your router will be a perfectly fine level of protection. All I have protecting my static IP from the Internet is a Linux NAT router, which acts as a firewall by nature, and I've never had a single virus or break in in three years.

*Cower*
And cheers.
So I don't really need anything then?

I agree as well. If you have NAT on the router that will give you protection. The Windows XP firewall is also good. I have Norton Firewall installed and tested both firewalls on the Norton test site and the Windows XP firewall gave the same results as the Norton firewall.
And I'll have no arguments because I'm right, I know I'm right and anyone who disagrees is ignorant.
Don't make me prove you wrong.
And the great thing is, I can download them all at the same time!!1
YeY.
This so rules.
Also - should I download ZoneAlarm on both computers or what?
