Its nearly that time again! The season for us lot kicks off next weekend, after, for me, what seemed like a long summer, and i for one cant wait for the season to start.
As always, i have my season ticket and im pretty confident of what The Owls can achieve this season, im just hoping this season can be the one where the rot stops, and we gain promotion. We have a whole new team almost. We released 15 players last season, and signed 11 this, including ex Southampton captain Chrissy Marsden, and then a squad of good young players who all look the part to go with him
We have 2 friendlies left against the Bolton and Everton, and in our previous friendlies we have looked good.
I know there are a number of you lot who support teams in the lower leagues, so lets not let this forum be over run by Premiership talk and such. After all, our clubs are just as important as the bigger clubs.
So what are your hopes and fears for the new season? Who you looking forward to playing the most?
Up the Owls!!

The Owls are goin' up!!! The Owls are goin' up!!! The Owls are goin' up!!!
Pleased, a win against Barnet would be fantastic, and after that we have Forest Green at home (3 points, in other words) and Halifax at home.
Life with Sturrock starts with a 3-0 win to the Owls!!

Hopefully! Depends on whether my mate takes it seriously or not, i know that a lot of SBFC fans are taking it seriously, booking evening off work etc.
Fancy a pre-match drink ;-)

Will you actually be there?

Yeah, thinking about it i am pretty pleased with the appointment, and its been a while since i have been able to say that about one of our new managers.
I just pray this is the one that turns us around.
Today we announced Paul Sturrock as our new manager. Wasnt my first choice, but he is none the less better than the last 4/5 managers we have had recently.
So, our season starts Saturday!
Owls vs Coventry tonight. Would like us to win, but at this moment im not to bothered if we go out. More interested in seeing who is our new manager tomorrow, which im lead to believe will now deffinatly be Sturrock.
See you on tuesday Colourless.
