For starters, let me say i hate this new way to name the leagues. Calling them Division 1, 2 and 3 made alot more sense. None the less...

Its nearly that time again! The season for us lot kicks off next weekend, after, for me, what seemed like a long summer, and i for one cant wait for the season to start.

As always, i have my season ticket and im pretty confident of what The Owls can achieve this season, im just hoping this season can be the one where the rot stops, and we gain promotion. We have a whole new team almost. We released 15 players last season, and signed 11 this, including ex Southampton captain Chrissy Marsden, and then a squad of good young players who all look the part to go with him

We have 2 friendlies left against the Bolton and Everton, and in our previous friendlies we have looked good.

I know there are a number of you lot who support teams in the lower leagues, so lets not let this forum be over run by Premiership talk and such. After all, our clubs are just as important as the bigger clubs.

So what are your hopes and fears for the new season? Who you looking forward to playing the most?

Up the Owls!!

Ohoho!

Thank God for study leave otherwise I might be in doubt for making the S'boro away game as it's a Tues night.

But I look forward to seeing Justin smack one past you guys, seeing Murray put your midfielders under, and Neil Smith...ummm...sit on the bench. I hope.

Although he'll probably "'Ave someone's legs aat, guv" regardless of whether he's on the pitch or not!

Nay.

Made the trek to Scarborough today, 3-0 down after 10 minutes thought oh dear what a wasted 4 hour, but it finished 3-3. Outstanding comeback and could have won it in the last minute when we hit the underside of the crossbar.

Crikey if you think you were cold Scarboro was like the flippin artic.

Btw, sorry i havent been on MSN, my computer (ex computer now) decided to play up so i havent been able to post or come online for ages, got a new one now though.

Should have installed msn in time for the pre woking build up though :-)

5th in the league and looking well worth it, :-)

Owls won 2-0 today at home to Hartlepool, play really well, and 3 points off the play offs now.

Bristol City away next weekend, i'll be spending the weekend down south and going to the match with a mate, so hoping it will be a good match.

And for anyone who went to thier clubs game today...just how cold was it! I was freezing sat at Hillsborough. Though to be honest I love going to the games around this time of year. Bring on the snow!

Won 1 - 0 against a passionless York side that should take a careful look at the league table.

We need a win at Gravesend to be right back in the playoff race, and Chris Sharpling has a ghost to bury up there. Quinty may or may not know what the hell I'm talking about.

Heavens - it sounds like Stockport are trouncing Town. Already 3 - 0 and I just cannot see them even attempting any kind of comeback :(
