I, however, don't. Considering our defence was what completely let us down last season, Sol is a good signing if it goes through. He's got the qualities you need a defender - height and superb strength. Looking at the fact our defence is on average about 70 years old, yes, this is good.

I wouldn't say Sol Campbell was as stupidly over-hyped as someone like, say... Michael Owen. Campbell put in some very strong performances for us in Euro 2004, and (aside from a few of the qualifiers) does seem to on a regular basis, also. He's one of the best centre-backs we have.
However, he is not worth anything like the £100,000-a-week he gets payed at Arsénal - absolutely rediculous!
He's a money-grabbing traitor, if anything! Yet, I can't see him leaving for anyone, right now. These stories have only come about because he is entering the last year of his contract at Highbury and it is quite likely he will be wanting an improvemnt on his current wage to go with his new deal. However, as we all know, Arsénal are very-tight on money, thanks to Ashburton Grove...
