Anybody played the demo?
Gets excellent reviews across the board but I haven't seen that much blurb about it or hype.

but five if you include North korea which are always hostile
And as for the map, in terms of streets and stuff, about the size of one and half of the islands on GTA3, but theres a fair bit of country to explore.
There are 5 factions who you can work for and bases are spread out quite far.
hire it from blockbusters for a night, it's cheaper than getting the OXM for the demo.
just like GTA the days come and go, with it getting dark and light, you do get a great sence of freedom
for once a game with respawning enemys that I dont seem ti mind. There is always something going on!
I climbed this high mountain to kill these radar jammers, and you could use their own artillary on it, there was one more in a camp that I managed to get into by climbing the hill, but got killed.
now I cant find the bleeding place again.
In the process of trying to find the russians to spend my hard earned cash, genius idea of smoke grenading the area for the helicopter to pick up, and the way it blows the smoke away as it comes down.
this game is 1337 :-)
Is it worth buying even if it means I will be poor after the purchase?
I did the same kind of thing with a bus. But this time I got about 10 enemy jeeps and parked them in the middle of a road, then got the bus and planted 8 bits of C4 on the roof. Damn thing looked amazing, car parts and burning tires everywhere.
Oh and the buildings eventually come back but it takes an age compared to GTA where you look away and the vehicles gone. It's really suprised me actually how long the game manages to remember where you've left cars and blown things up, even when they're over the other side of the map 9 times out of 10 they'll still be there when you come back.
I really want this but I am down to my last £30.
