Is dangerously addictive, almost impossibly deep, and is a truly marvellous management spectacle.

It is also frustrating beyond words, often truly ridiculous and is a cause of premature mental instability.







I love Football Manager '05

First league game played and I beat Bury 4-0 at home taking me straight to the top. Went 1-0 up before their keeper brought down my striker in the box earning a red card and gifting me a penalty. The pen was dispatched with ease and I was in a comfortable position at half-time.

I took off on-loan striker Poole, (from Man U), at half time so as he wouldn't get injured for his replacement Chillingworth only to then score a stunner and earn us another penalty.

Played 4 friendlies with Cambs. Won 3 of them only losing to Shefield Wednesday.

I gave Chelsea Reserves a tonking 4-0.

Wahey, beat Liverpool 4-1 after going 1-0 down after 3 minutes :-D

First stage of 3 important games that, Arsenal next and then Anderlecht in the first round of knockouts in the Champs League

Edit - Beat Arsenal 2-0, own goal from Cole and a counter-attack goal from Rooney

I'm just about to take control of Cambidge...I'll keep you updated.

Well the 5th round tie is looking even worse for me now, Chelsea have gone and signed Stevie Gerrard for the 43 million they let Robben go for as well as signing Fernando Torres for 26 million.

So that's a possible front line of Ronaldo and Torres my defence will have to deal with .............. i think i'll try a 10-0-0 for the game :-D

My team is doing class... Top of the Prem, still in the ECC, just got knocked out of the FA Cup, and lost in the finals of the League. Ah well.

They've also sold Robben to Madrid for 43 million and Duff to Barca for 17 million so i'm expecting a whole host of other big buys soon. Good job i'm already 5 points clear in the Premiership with United to worry about them too much

Ah well i'll just go for the win, hope the fact that it's at home plays a part. I'll probably get a good 4 or 5 nil drubbing but then i somehow scraped past Bolton without 4 of my top stars so who knows.
