Get rid of Steam, and let us play CS like ANY OTHER NORMAL GAME.

"Updating Steam platform"

"Downloading updates for Counter Strike: Source"

"Steam has encountered an error and must shut down"

"Steam has detected that your game files are corrupt and will now redownload GCF files"

"cannot connect to Steam network"

ffs

Good idea with regards to anti-piracy, but the implementation is absolutely awful.

Compared to a lot of people I have gotten off quite lightly with Steam. Loads of others have had sh*t loads of problems but aside from this recent problem it has been pretty sound.

A bit of a ba*tard having to download the games from scratch as it's like trying to shaft a super-glued ass hole, it takes way too long.

Yes, that is what happened.
It crashed for no reason. It was the only program running.

It should also give a reason as to why it isn't working properly.

Your gcf's that it was updating is the large halflife one and the counterstrike one, chances are it had to delete them as it funked the archives.

But with all games you get cracked servers and theres even a program 'All seeing eye' that after a filter is added that can show you all cracked servers running.

I understand your dislike of steam and it should tell you that it's going to update not just start updating.

Steam is a really bad idea. I don't see what's wrong with a simple CD key.

I don't understand.

Freeola & GetDotted are rated 5 Stars

Check out some of our customer reviews below:

The coolest ISP ever!
In my opinion, the ISP is the best I have ever used. They guarantee 'first time connection - everytime', which they have never let me down on.
Continue this excellent work...
Brilliant! As usual the careful and intuitive production that Freeola puts into everything it sets out to do, I am delighted.
