I said a month ago I would try an idea that I thought of for SR. I asked permission and I have completed it, on the left is the options for were the user is, (eg forum) also the whole list is still on the page but the forum topic size is smaller.

whad do you think?

Just to be clear.

We are not really asking for anything.

It's up to you if you want to put stuff up, or not. I know it takes effort, but that's up to you.

All I can do is look at it, and comment. Right now, the chat room you put up has taken my e-mail address, crashed my machine and told me that the name "TonyfromFOG", which I registered with it two minutes previously, is already taken.

I did like the ideas: er-specialreserve, and your menu on the entry screen etc. But it really much more likely that we would go the CentralChat route.

Tony, what else do you mean? I have redesigned the site which took a long time because I found the tables very difficult to master in dreamweaver, I have (in 20minutes) created a small website with a guestbook, messageboard and chatroom (which is near working)...

what else and the GCSE's aren't important at the mo. because I have not got another exam for over 5 weeks.

fire away... I am trying to find a sensible chat room script and other addons. or I could just nick the Yahoo Chat applet script and creat an FOG folder (although illegal it works...) hehehe

Yeah, got a reply, thanks - yes, users can create their own rooms easily enough, and SR could have multiple ones themselves. If you plan to create a room, it's easier to get an external client like mIRC, more control over it.

er-no, on the chatroom it said that Ant and SuperAnt had already been taken, so I had to use Gonda.

I couldn't get into it, anyway.

We got your e-mail Reaper. Danny Corder, our top man, will respond. He knows far more about it than me.

MWA - I don't know yet because I am just learning about this.

Initially I suppose we would have one room, then add to it. I don't even know if the users might be able to add new rooms themselves.

Same here.

Will you stick to just one chatroom or have multiple ones? With diffrent topics?

Why not have a chatroom for each forum and put a link to the room on ukdiscussions.com and on the forum page for a direct link to the chatroom for that topic?
