It is not a waste of money. He's a very talented, versitile, hard-working and honest footballer. For a club of Bayern Munich's size, I'd have thought £15m to have been the minimum asking price.
And, I suppose they've got to start preparing for the loss of Steven Gerrard (and maybe Hamman...!) somewhere. ;)
