yes that is exactly what we are saying colourless. Birminghams flanks are pretty much first divison players at the moment. Gronks is a uefa cup player. Therefore supply will improve. He does a good job but not the same quality and consistency of performance as duff who quite clearly outshines him on the other side

NO. GRONKJAER STAYS....

No. He plays on the right of the midfield for us. And did do most of the season. Duff's injury gave Joe Cole games on the left of midfield, not Gronkjaer.

He was and is good enough to hold down a place in the team. But we'll never know now... :(

So you say Gronkjaer's inconsistent and doesn't provide great service, yet now he will boost the service to Forssell and Heskey? One is confused.

No.

And that is why three of those four players will be out during the summer, along with Gronkjaer.

This season, yes he did get plenty of games, but that was only due to Duff's injury and other malarky. Plus I can see more signings just waiting to seize upon Gronkjaer's place. I'll admit it then shall I? He's had a decent season, but not ood enough to hold a place in the Chelsea first team I'm afraid.

Emile isn't enough. Who were they playing up front last season? Forsell and Morrison. Now I think Morrison is crap, never has been a Premiership player and probably never will be. Hence they buy Emile to partner Forsell, and Gronkjaer to boost service to the front two.

Sorted, no?

Yes because Geremi, Crespo, Veron, Sullivan have all been quality this season....

Jesper played a lot of games last season, and I can't see him being frozen out with the attacking quality he brings to the team. Robben and Duff will fight it out, with perhaps Robben playing up front even and sometimes on the right.....

Lets be honest, my lad, Birmingham are no Chelsea. Birmingham are destined for a European spot at best, and would be glad if they finished in the top 10. I was stating that, when in comparison to the other quality Chelsea have at their disposal, and the general direction that they are heading in, Jesper isn't going to get a game unless there are significant injuries. I think Brucie is taking a risk bringing him to Birmingham, he could complelely flop, after all. But Birmingham need a luxury attacking player, who can occasionally produce something brilliant, because lets face it, Birmingham lack goals.

i agree. I think he is an excellent signing for birmingham. (which is good because i quite like them!) Gronkjaer is the kind of player who will be excellent to get a team into the positions from 4-6th, and will fit in well at birmingham, a team with a rigid spine but not much on the flanks. But he is not good enough for a team which expects to win the title and CL which are our targets.

So Ashman, having stated how crap you think Jesper is most of the time, you're now saying what a great signing he'll be for Birmingham and how he'll slot in nicely....?
