If the Bible is all fact, as you have repeatedly claimed, then how can their be two creation stories, Genesis 1 & 2?

I'm just going to repost as you are completely wrong and I'm busy. Sorry.
It's used as a symbol of infidelity and lack of respect towards god. Descendants of Noah intend to build a structure high enough to reach heaven. God becomes furious and gets his revenge by striking the builders with a confusion of languages, and then spreads them across the face of the earth. It’s a warning to man not to aspire to reach the levels of god, and a creation myth to explain the diversity of human language.
It has nothing to do with explaining why other religions exist. Religion is not mentioned.

But religion stems from the Tower of Babel, the whole reason the Godhead confused the language; because of the religion that the people had started.

Bwah ha ha ha haaaa! Apart from the countless arguments you've ran away from? Dear me Mary; you're not at all happy at being proven a fool, are you?
Neverteless, I appreciate that you're so frightened you need to use a transparent method of changing the subject. But that aside, would you answer my question about what church you belong to? You've cut it out of your response, so you've clearly noticed it. So answer me.

Heh. And here's a typical Mary response; when his desperate attempt to dig himself out of the hole that his original, incorrect statement got him into fails, simply repeat the original statement. Despite the fact that your original statement has been torn to tatters.
Lets go over this; the bible refers only to the Tower of Babel spreading language. You said it didn't, it spread religion. Not only that, but a biblical quotation proves us right, and you wrong.
So you then try and say that your INTERPRETATION of the bible is correct, and that the literal meaning is wrong.
Heh. Mary Mary, quite contrary, how does your ego grow? First you say one must believe the bible literally. Then when we do, you tell us we're wrong and we should listen to your interpretation. You're an amusingly cowardly hypocrite, aren't you?

....every one of whom who has posted on this board has contradicted and disagreed with you.
The name of your particular sect/cult/religious group please. Now. If you don't do so then it seems clear that you don't belong to any sect, and all of your beliefs stem entirely from your own interpretation of the Bible, a book you clearly haven't read and don't understand.
Oh, and you still haven't answered the 20 or so questions. You snivelling, arrogant, gutless, hypocritical little boy.
> Anyway I haven't changed my viewpoint on the Tower of Babel; the

Just accept you got it wrong and move on. I thought Christians were supposed to show humility? This is outright arrogance and stubbornness.

What a typical Light response. When unable to think of an argument, Light resorts to petty insults.
Anyway I haven't changed my viewpoint on the Tower of Babel; the origin of religion.

Well my views come from the Bible and there are a lot of Bible believing Christians out there...
> What were they doing Jim when the language was confused? Building a
> tower to try and impress God. Religion...
No Forest, you can't be a fundamentalist Hebrew Christian (or whatever you claim to be) and then start trying to find other meannigs in Biblical passages. The Tower of Babel marked the inception of numerous different languages according to the Bible. That's what it says, isn't it? Now, I'm no linguistic expert, but if it details language, don't you think it could also be talking about language?
And what's religious about a group of people trying to impress God? That has nothing to do with a religion anyway.
> What were they doing Jim when the language was confused? Building a
> tower to try and impress God. Religion...
Heheheheh. Except that your original point was that the Tower spread religion. Now you're saying that it didn't, and that it was just a religious statement. In other words, you're trying to change what you said so that you can't be said to be incorrect.
Wow...what a truly gutless and frightened little coward you are; you still haven't told me the name of your church either. I'm guessing that's because your beliefs are shared with no-one; you're a religion of one. And it's all about making yourself seem special. Which, by the way, you are; I've never met anyone as arrogant and stupid as you are.
So let me now ask you another question: Are you saying that the tower of Babel did NOT spread language around? Are you also saying that it's fall caused the spread of religion?
> No Forest, you're just wrong on this point, as Geffdof and
> Pandaemonium have pointed out
What were they doing Jim when the language was confused? Building a tower to try and impress God. Religion...
> Well, they build a tower to reach God, hence the very purpose of
> religion.
Hahahahahhaha! Another of your 'interpretations'?
> Well Jim, I clearly can't believe everything Light says, if he
> contradicts himself can I?
No dear boy; I'm saying YOU are contradicting yourself. You say you're a fundamentalist. Then you start applying your own interpretations. So you're a hypocrite as well as a coward.
Do you see?
