The Office is brilliant, at least the original British version is. Some of the pure moments of awkwardness and hilarity stemming mainly from David Brent and Gareth were genius, and it didn't try and be big headed and go on for too long either. It did have a limited lifespan, but it lasted for exactly the right time, Fawlty Towers style.

Cringe-filled magic.

Do you mean older Simpsons or the newer ones? The older ones are great, but the new ones are absolute crap.
