Since Monday the broadband service has been either intermittent or non-existent, giving me a latency of 3000+ on WoW.
I finish work and am home by 11am, ready to play for the day and enjoy this game.
Only to find myself repeatedly disconnected or, on occasion, lagged beyond belief to the extent it's unplayable.
Poxy idiotic NTL and their call-centre monkeys that can't offer a time-frame on the problem, nor can they explain why it's been like this since Xmas.
Another 30 mins and then I'm phoning again.

We can't seem to keep our Managers in this sector. It's not that they leave, it's that my Boss (DSM) loans them out to other sectors before realising we actually needed them!
The next week is going to be extremely busy over here - thankfully I'm only in on Tuesday and Wednesday :)

We have a constantly rotating set of managers, only 2 have been there longer than 2 months.
It appears that whoever can correctly do a tie-knot gets to be line-manager for that week, there's no thinking or intelligence behind the shirt.
I get put on flats (A4/magazines) and there's no overhead to tell you what number box for what street.

And sure enough, 4 minutes later I'm taken off flats and put back doing primary sort.

Count yourself lucky your Office didn't do Starburst as well as SDD.

So get in at 5am (but most still arrive earlier) and spend 3hrs prepping it all, out the door by 8-8:30am.
It's frustrating for us as well as you, we want to be finished earlier than we do.
Start at 8, finish 11-11:30, nobody gets their post before they go to work and we dont get done much before 11am, and have heavy-ass bags to lug round so we go slower.

Just do what my postman, paperboy and milkman do, and not not deliver anything until the afternoon. Really useful that, I love the taste of milk that's been left in the heat all day.

All you have to do is smoke a lot of Marlboro Lights, have a couple of beers, be incredibly sneery and sarcastic at most of the people you see in the streets and then do sex to my gf.
I'll spend Friday-Mon playing Wow.

I'll lend you my clothes (although they can be purchased for next to nothing from any outlet that does jeans & t-shirts), draw a goatee on and shave your head.
Don't forget to swear a lot and when replying to "Morning sexy x" txt on yr phone, send "wotcha jugs!" in response.
