Wii Interface

Wii provides a very unique and user-friendly interface for you to browse in.

You will get 6 satisfying features for you to browse in, these are, the wii menu, Mii Channel, Forecast Channel, Photo Channel, News Channel and Internet Channel. For more information on these channels go here

Wii Statues

Sites Currently Taking Pre-Orders.

NONE. YOU WILL NOW NEVER GET ANY WII BEFORE CHRISTMAS, TRY EBAY.

Wii Points

Wii points are something used to purchase features for the Wii via Wii Shop Channel. For example you can purchase a NES game for 500 Wii points. £0.75 makes up 100 Wii points. You will need to purchase a "Wii Points card", in order to use this system.

* NES Games = 500 Wii Points
* SNES Games = 800 Wii Points (900 Wii Points in Japan on selected games)
* N64 Games = 1,000 Wii Points
* Sega Genesis Games = 800 Wii Points (600 Wii Points in Japan)
* TurboGrafix 16 Games = 600 Wii Points

Also, another advantage would be consumers would put up Wii points for offer after you buy something. For example, if you buy a Wii game you will get 1500 Wii points.

Virtual Console

You may have heard a few things about Nintendo's Virtual Console, but not quiet sure what it is. The virtual console is another feature in the Wii, which allows you to download NES, SNES, N64, T16, Genesis, Commodore 64 and MSX games.

There is one catch thou, Nintendo's virtual console is not free. You will be required to pay £3.50 for NES titles, £5.60 for SNES, £7.00 for N64, £5.60 for Genesis and £4.20 for TurboGrafx-16 in able to play these.

I'm definitely getting with discount from my work place at Woolworths:

Nintendo Wii (with Wii Sports) = £144
Twilight Princess = £32.00
Wii Play (with extra remote) = £28.00
Spare Nunchuk controller = £13.50

The best part of it is that Woolworths aren't after a deposit for pre-orders so that saved me an extra £10-30.

Also Mario Kart Double Dash has got to be one of my all time used games, I must have spent a 100 or more hours on that game alone with the battles and races with my friends since it first cam out to this very day. Even if my game's clock doesn't show it that's because I went round my friend's house to play his version. So between us it'd be over 100 hours easily.

Just read some of this post and I am stunned by the lack of knowledge about Zelda's TP controls. Almost every publication agrees that the new controls work BETTER than the Gamecube version... publications like NGamer, Edge, IGN, Famitsu and Gamespy... Gamespot are the only ones that claim the controls are "tacked on" and to be honest that review was terrible. Not just for the score either.

Second of all you can get a console before Christmas rather easily. A lot of stores that you probably haven't considered (John Lewis, Supermarkets, independant retailers) do not take pre-orders and sell on the day. I have also learnt that Dixons still have some in stock in many stores and Gametron in Cambridge has a big poster that says "Still taking pre-orders".

Oh and don't get me started on the Gamecube's Mario Kart battle mode. After playing it over and over again I can now declare it is BETTER than any one that has come before it. Aside from the Gamecube/square one, that's just crap.

There's a good advert doing the rounds showing auy playing just Zelda and Red Steel.

That's going to appeal to the more traditional gamers.

I did some more research. I went out to HMV, Game, Currys and Toys r us. They all said you won't be able to get one before christmas, but toys r us said they my have some spares on launch day.

Looks like I'm going to pay a little visit to Toys r us on Friday the 8th of December!

Heh.

It's a show on Bravo. My I seem to be watching a lot of Bravo, they've really upped their game now they've got UFC and The Unit on there... it's still mainly full of crappy repeats from the 80s mind.

Is GamerTV a show or a channel? I want to watch it. You do know that those that died during the update probably turned off their console? I know becaue i did the same to my PSP and got a new one for free.
