Wii Interface

Wii provides a very unique and user-friendly interface for you to browse in.

You will get 6 satisfying features for you to browse in, these are, the wii menu, Mii Channel, Forecast Channel, Photo Channel, News Channel and Internet Channel. For more information on these channels go here

Wii Statues

Sites Currently Taking Pre-Orders.

NONE. YOU WILL NOW NEVER GET ANY WII BEFORE CHRISTMAS, TRY EBAY.

Wii Points

Wii points are something used to purchase features for the Wii via Wii Shop Channel. For example you can purchase a NES game for 500 Wii points. £0.75 makes up 100 Wii points. You will need to purchase a "Wii Points card", in order to use this system.

* NES Games = 500 Wii Points
* SNES Games = 800 Wii Points (900 Wii Points in Japan on selected games)
* N64 Games = 1,000 Wii Points
* Sega Genesis Games = 800 Wii Points (600 Wii Points in Japan)
* TurboGrafix 16 Games = 600 Wii Points

Also, another advantage would be consumers would put up Wii points for offer after you buy something. For example, if you buy a Wii game you will get 1500 Wii points.

Virtual Console

You may have heard a few things about Nintendo's Virtual Console, but not quiet sure what it is. The virtual console is another feature in the Wii, which allows you to download NES, SNES, N64, T16, Genesis, Commodore 64 and MSX games.

There is one catch thou, Nintendo's virtual console is not free. You will be required to pay £3.50 for NES titles, £5.60 for SNES, £7.00 for N64, £5.60 for Genesis and £4.20 for TurboGrafx-16 in able to play these.

I presume they're doing the usual midnight launch?

If so 13 hours to go!

Now there's an idea. Split it between the two and with the backing of Nintendo and Microsoft they could add loads of extra stuff, like online support and modern controller set up. I like it.

If they can somehow demonstrate how Goldeneye online will take people away from the PS3 I expect MS would jump on it and get it going on the Wii with the help of Activision.

No-doubt it'd turn up on Live Arcade too though. :D

Considering the legal issues with a game like Goldeneye (Nintendo, RARE(Microsoft) and Activision will all want a stake) then I imagine the game maybe more expensive and to justify such a thing I expect a mild upgrade from the likes of Nintendo/RARE. Such as the ability to play multiplayer online with a few extra players. Maybe even wii-mote control.

VC really does look excellent, I'm already eyeing up Bomberman and Sim City.

I must admit I'm a lot more excited and interested by the launch of this next batch of consoles much more so than for the PS2 etc as the features on them like the VC and X-Box Live are things that I really go for.

Still making my mind up at the minute!

Yes, supposedly with all of them, though Sony said the same thing about the PS3...

That's very true. All Consoles have something of a dry spell, with only a few releases. The 360 hasn't got much in the way of new games from now to Christmas, after Gears and RS were released there are no big games for a while. It's been feeling like Microsoft are holding back on their Live games, so I dare say they're doing the same thing and we'll see more interesting titles on the lead up to Christmas. Just think, new VC games on a Monday and a new Live Arcade game on a Wednesday.
