Wycombe Wanderers' relegation from Division Two has been confirmed.
Many did not realise that Tony Adams' side had lost their battle against relegation, as they were still within touching distance of the safety zone.
However, upon closer inspection - if 19th placed Oldham and Brentford in 20th both lost all their games, which would have allowed Wycombe to catch them - then Chesterfield (21st) and Grimsby (22nd) would both get three more points as they play the other two teams in question.
Chesterfield and Grimsby's extra points would put them out of reach of Wycombe, meaning they cannot save themselves.
Wycombe are the second team in England to be relegated, following Wimbledon's drop to Division Two.
That's a huge weight off our shoulders. We can now hopefully continue our recent form without the worry of relegation and survival, and so we might start winning now. April 24th, Brentford/Wycombe at Griffin Park. We can hopefully keep our heads high and with the teams in between Wycombe and Brentford in the table hopefully winning, we could see Brentford into the relegation zone, and hopefully into Division 3 with us.

Yeah. Nothing to do with being the worst team in the division is it?
I think you'll finish around 9th depending what team you have in the summer.

I'll be perfectly honest...no.
I just hope we can play good football next year. Hell, I hope we have a team next year!

Hey, we've got the smallest squad in the Premiership... 16 players. Most of those are from the Youth Squad so that doesn't make us greedy =D
The squad we put out against Chelsea were young:
GK Sorenson
DL Samuel
DC Mellberg
DC Johnson
DR Del La Cruz
ML Barry
MC Hitzlesperger
MC McCann
MR Hendrie
ST Crouch
ST Vassell
Subs:
Luke Moore
Liam Ridgewell
Peter Whittingham
Dion Dublin
Stefan Potma
Do you think you'll come back up?
Also, Ryman are running low on funds, and so might be dropping the Isthmian next year.

I thought it was gunna be Conference Division One, Conference Division Two South and Conference Division Two North.
Because we're in the top half of the Ryman Division One South, we get promoted or something. Nobody knows the future of Ashford. Had our ground been up to scratch, we could be in the Conference right now, anyway. Back in 1996, we won the league every season until 2001. Actually, we won all the cups. It wasn't until the fith season we could go up. We then got promoted in our first season in Division 3. Then we came third in Division 2, and got promoted. Now we're in Division 1 South.

I actually disagree with this. I think we're gunna struggle next year.
Look at Grimsby...back to back relegation. If we get relegated to the Conferance Division 1...we might be playing my local team Ashford Town!

Yeah, and we were pretty much doomed for the drop from the start of the season.
Looks like Grimsby will be joining us. Then, any two teams from the next seven teams face Division 3!
The only reason why teams like Wycombe and Brentford are near the drop zone is because of the FA. They mucked up, and us lower teams were the teams that paid for it. Also, the ITV Digital thing didn't help.
We had to sell a good 6 or 7 first team players to cover our costs, we then had to sell the name of the stadium and we were dropped by Verco, hence why we played all of pre-season without a sponser.
Adding to that is Lawrie Sanchez's fall out with Sean Devine, possibly Exeter's player of the season. He left us shortly before Lawrie was given the chop. Lets not forget former skipper McCarthey and striker Rammell.
In addition to all of that, our number one keeper left, or retired. So we were left with Frank Talia. Nothing wrong with that, he's a top keeper. Until, of course, he picked up an injury, leaving us with Steve Williams for the remainder of the season. Don't get me wrong, he's had some great games for the second half of the season, when he was called up, but he simply wasn't consistant enough.
We did get Luke Moore in. He scored a hat-trick for us in his debut match. Pity that was also his last match, as them greedy Villians called him back. Basta...yeah.
We did get Nathan Tyson...brilliant striker, who with Faulconbridge and McSporran, could form a healthy strike partnership. Shame that we then sold McSporran...possibly our best player.
Now, Darren Currie has said that Wycombe simply cannot afford him, and so he won't be at The Causeway next year. Yeah, he has the skill, and we will miss him, but he isn't irreplacable. Silly fool.
Under Tony Adams, new boy Charlie Mapes hasn't had a look in. Under Lawrie, he scored in what must be every match at the start of the season. I can't see why Tony hasn't played him. Maybe it's because he is 19 or something.
Still...lets hope Woking get promoted, and Brentford get relegated. That way, I see more of Wycombe next year! Huzzah!
