What is the future of Rare. After enjoying their new stunner (Conker's bad fur day) and the release of their final N64 game Banjo Tooie coming out in a couple of hours begs the question what do they have in store for the Gamecube.

I can tell you of a few, a Micky Mouse platformer, After Dark (the sequal to Perfect Dark), Dinosaur Planet and Conker's other bad day. Three familiar faces and one brand new adventures from Rare to come out on Nintendo's next system is a very exciting prospect indeed.

Another rumoured game is one featuring Sabreman. Sabreman is a classic Rare game from the late 80's and in Banjo Tooie he makes a reappearance and after you say goodbye he mutters "I think i'll have a ride on a Dolphin" which could be Rare giving us a big hint of things to come.

So what would you like Rare to do on the Gamecube? Would you like another Banjo game or maybe a 3D Killer Instinct game. Would you like to see another Diddy Kong Racing game or maybe new platformers staring more cast members of Diddy Kong Racing. Maybe the Jet Force team could come back and maybe you would like Donkey Kong to smash the charts again.

So what would you like Rare to do? you tell me.

Here's to the future

I personally would like to see Rare follow up on the more successful latter titles like Conker and Banjo. I think they are the two best platformers ever including Mario 64.

I would like to see a new product at E3 though, maybe a new game, a platformer but of a strange theme, maybe aliens or something, Rare are great at genre breaking and whatever they bring to the Gamecube should be ace!

After Dark and Conker's Other Bad Fur Day being the obvious choices!! - I would love to see the return of the Jet Force team - Its still one of my favourites on N64 and one of the most enjoyable shooting games of recent times. A sequel on GameCube would go down well I think and the prospects are enormous!! Real time environments with cool cell shaded characters in a retro sci-fi world, yeah that would be cool!!
Would also like to see another Donkey Kong game but as revolutionary as the SNES version was at the time!!
