To my mummy.
I just bought a new car, (well, 6 months old, but you know).

It's a BMW 318ti SE Compact and I pick it up on Monday.
I'm happy, although the insurance company made a mistook and having bought the car they then charged me 5 times more!

hmmm, perhaps these premiums are justified though.

I recall destroying my mums front near side wheel the night I passed my test. although that was mainly my mates fault, and he paid half the repair costs.

I drive a Fiesta 1.6Si, and I think I am currently with either Privelige or Budget, with 5 years no claims.

Just under £300 last quote I got. seems reasonable.

that's true, but what use are no claims when you are paying 2 thousand pounds per year for insurance.

third party fire and theft is a good policy, third party only I would be wary of taking if I had a nearly new car.

not sure how much it knocks off, but a friend told me their premium dropped afterwards. you may well be right about the difference.

It's true.
My old car, 1.8 Cavi cost me £950 third party fire and theft. I had one quote for third party on that car at £2,400!
I paid £800 for the bloody car!
