My boyfriend is coming round tonight and i'm going to cook for him.

What shall I cook?

i have NOTHING in fridge except ham, salad cream, ketchup, eggs, and way way way too much milk..seriously though,6 pints for me only and i only have milk in coffee and i hardly drink coffee..I got a few bits in the freezer!

So back to the point,what shall i cook?

You have to be careful with rolls. I had one go on fire once, was nasty.

my cooking skills are restricted to chinese food, minor pasta dishes such as bolognese (using dried pasta), traditional english dishes, and ready meals. I have 2 or 3 cookbooks, but the recipes always seem like too much hassle.

I think in the way of it making a romantic meal, etc.
I sorta can't picture a candle lit dinner with Chinese, really.
Italian, however...

Not in itself no. But things you can put in it are, and it always calls for copious amounts of white wine. Which is. Plus, depending on how confident you are in your cooking skills, you can leave it for to simmer for 20 minutes or so.
