they would already be convicted!

when on the way to prison you say:

Dear convict, you have been sentenced to life by the law of the land. This country does not have the death penalty but we are entitled to offer you assisted suicide in leiu of your sentence should you so wish.

It would save a lot of trouble, and look there are a lot of suicides and attempted suicides in jail anyway so in my opinion its a better option.

Very sensitave nerve there Ashley. As how do you know that the person sentanced is really guilty? And who looks like the criminal then?
Hence the Americans don't seem to take this into account but they like killing anyway. It's like a gameshow to them Us Brits have to much standards for that

personally i think any one sentenced to life for violent crime should be offered euthanasia (ie 20+ years). THey don't have to suffer in jail, the victim and/or their family get a level of retribution. The country save 150000 grand a year or what ever it costs to keep a violent criminal. 10000-15000 a year of the saving should then be given to the victim/family for the duration of the sentence time (i.e 20 years).

Thats one of the reasons i'm against the death penalty, sometimes the jury gets it wrong.

The problem is proving they are of sound mind to make the decision.
It just feels very wrong and that is my argument.

what are you smoking backpack. its nothing like it.

Execution is a punishment, nobody has the right to take a life, except in punishment where choice is revoked for justice and were consent is given.

If people have the right to take your life, like executioning in america then you should have the right to take your own life.
