I (you guessed it) forgot. Cue nearly catching fire as oil ended up all over the engine block on my way to work yesterday, a 20 quid cap replacement cost, and no way of using the car for the next two days while the damn thing comes through the post.
Again. Replace the cap anbd save yourself pain and heartache............................
I wish I could drive actually.
were they laughing as you handed over your money? :D
the same thing happened to me a month ago, although I didn't forget to put it back on, I just didn't tighten it properly. I went to check my oil to find the engine covered in oil. I'd been running it for nearly a week on almost empty.
I topped that baby up with some fresh crude, replaced the cap for the poultry sum of £5, and was motoring again in no time.
It's a tough old boot my car. I treated it to a refilled washer fluid tank, for not packing up on me.
Well, at least YOU can DRIVE YOUR car! :P
At least YOU'RE not paying £1,100-a-year on something that simply decorates your front driveway!
£20 and a bit of extra heating? That's nothing when you've "wasted" £160-worth of examiners' time and God-knows-how-much in 14-months-worth of £18.50-an-hour driving lessons!
:(

Fat assed cars, but they do the job. A mate had one. It was a nippy little beast compaired to my "handles like a stealth bomber" Peugeot 405 GLX.
But I'm not manipulative, see.
Nooooooooooo
Naaaah.
