"Religious Discussion Forum?"

I'm sure a lot of people, like me, have got fed up with the high-jacking of the 'Intelligent Discussion' forum by religious crackpots and fundamentalists.

This forum should have been the place to discuss religion, unfortunately certain fundamentalist posters have completely bypassed intelligent discussion and gone straight to blinkered preaching, denial and avoidance.

So... should I start a religious discussion forum to let the Life forum get back to normal, or shall we just wait it out til the current spate of bickering dies down?

How about starting an arguement forum? In there, people can shout and bicker as much as they like, regardless of topic...

I don't think there would be any guarentees that a religeous forum would stop certain members from shouting their religion based views on other topics which appear here, louder than the rest of us.

Take for example topics on Abortion or homosexuality.

I'm not saying that everyone isn't entileled to their opinons, and I hope this isn't coming across like that. But there are certain members who take advantage of these topics to continue their preaching.

So by all means start a religion forum (I'm in complete favour), but don't expect it to make a scrap of difference unless you are willing to hand out warnings to those who continue to express their relgious beliefs here as well, and you can't really do that, can you?

Yes, start a religious forum, tis a good idea.

Can't you just program something, so every post he makes, is followed by an automatic reply saying "God is a chicken" or "You are blind, God will not save you, you're doomed" or something. Then he can write away to his hearts content.

But if this goes on, then I agree, perhaps a religious forum would be good. It's certainly a massively ranged topic, if it wasn't [and obviously is going to be] mud slinging nonsense, it could be quite interesting to see the variety of beliefs.

If Forest Fan gets his own forum I want one too.

There aren't any religious forums on here...yet.

I think you should start a religion forum. All this God malarky doesn't interest me and I find it a chore scrolling down to read the interesting topics.

In the same way there is a WWE forum separate from the Sport one, Religion is a specialist subject and those that have no interest in it do not want it plastered in their faces all the time.

Go for it. If the life forum continues to be ridden with religious dross, ban the culprits.
