Steven Gerrard - Not lost a game with England in 21 internationals. Until today, when he was captain.

Oh so amazing eh Stu?

This kind of cancels out your 'Gerrard is better than Lampard cos he is unbeaten in the England team'. He lead them, we lose.

Nice one Stu ;-)

Incredible talent yes.

Look at who he is competing with:

Lampard - Absolutely f**king incredible at the moment, no way he's getting in over Lamps, unless he is injured.

Makalele - As Lampard, having a great season.

Now with the addition of Parker, they are 3 of the best midfielders in the premiership he has to compete with. He is just a tiny bit worse than all of them, but that's still saying he's amazing.

The point is, he would be starting in anyone else's team, including Manchester United and Arsenal, and this is why both teams were very very interested in him, until the crook came along and offered him enough money to buy a new mansion every week.

But again if he was an 'incredible talent' then he would be getting games at Chelsea.

I was not saying that wasn't the case, although he is a quality, quality young player, and should most definately be at a big club where he will be guarenteed a starting place unless un-fit. It's a waste of incredible talent.

Well i have no sympathy for him, no one forced him to join Chelsea, he just saw pound signs flash before his eyes and forgot about his development as a player.

But he wouldn't, he hasn't been given the chance to play good consistent football. He's been on the bench almost the whole time.

Well if he was playing good consistent football then he'd be in the Chelsea team.

Get a job? jeeeesus someone's in a bad mood tonight.

Chelsea have ruined Joe Cole, he was incredible at West Ham, now he has come to you he has become an almost permanent bench warmer, no more. When he does get on he has looked really quite awful, and has lost the flair and enjoyment he had at West Ham. Surely it's only a matter of time before he leaves, he could be doing so much better at other teams, where he would play consistent football.

How, oh how did Joe Cole miss that chance in second half injury time?

My. God.

Jamie, you were saying earlier, Chelsea hadn't ruined him, surely that's proof you have. :-D

It was, Defoe had a greast game watching the highlights now, where he took on 2 or three then let rip, admittedly straight at the keeper.
