I heard two people talking about this the other night, and was wondering what you guys thought. Is being gay in your DNA, or is it 'acquired' through your life?

So yeh, enlighten me...

Sorry to burst your bubble foresty but you do get gay animals. Most normal people already know this. You say science tells you that animals are never gay but I'm a doctor of zoology and it tells me they can and are. Bonobos are the randiest little devils about and frequently indulge in girl on girl/boy on boy action as well as group orgies. Cheeky. If you want to read up on this look at March 1995 issue of SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN, pp. 82-88 which discusses it in detail. In any case, technically humans are animals and you've already admitted they can be gay. So there. I also think you're very naive to suggest that people can or should fight against their genetic makeup in the case of homosexuality. Unless you want to start giving people full frontal lobotomies I don't think that's gonna happen.

I'm happy to let the subject of lesbians drop.
