As much as I do agree with you Forest Fan, the bible says that we should be "quick to listen, slow to speak." (James 1:19)
So just listen to what they have to say, and tell them about your beliefs . That way they don't have to listen if they dont want to, but they can't sl*g you off for it.

And you weren't there when Jesus was around. Don't you get that? There's no proof of the majority of the stories in the Bible. So without proof we're not going to accept the Bible as evidence. Not any more than we'd accept the texts on ancient Greek or Babylonian creation myths as evidence. So can we let it drop now please?
It is the only way to be open minded. To accept new ideas and to either integrate them into your own or to dismiss them as you personally see fit.
If you believe in one way, and one way only, then I don't know why you come here to discuss your beliefs as surely you feel content and don't need to discuss them with others.
Bias
Exaggeration

Obviously it isn't possible, but the only way to see things as they happened is to see things as they happened.
The Bible is also third party. Not written by God but by those who believe in him. It may have credability, but considering God has the power to make people spontaneously combust, I find it difficult to believe that he would require third parties to write his book.
