The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
There is one prize to be decided at the end of April for the best set of suggestions.
GAMES DON'T COUNT. We aren't looking for a list of games which we don't sell. It's the other stuff we are interested in.
In particular we are looking for PC Software. Not the very expensive stuff. Also PC bits or peripherals.
You can suggest new product ranges which could be of interest to our existing audience: for example our next catalogue includes a Metal Detector.
Make suggestions for our shops, or for items to sell on the internet. Our aim for the shops is "Brimming with Stock and Bristling with Offers". On the internet it's a question of what people will be searching for.
If YOU are thinking of buying something soon, and we don't sell it, then please enter that too.
Windows 2000 (shudder urgh)
MacOSX (yeah)
For a nominal fee they'd then have all the tools they need to design a cracking website of their own (ala Geocities), and not have to buy an expensive webdesign utility software package of their own.
you probably do but i may as well through them in while the're in my head.
Thanks for listening to me and puting the title of each topic at the top of each page!
Probably would have sold better in the 80's though.
Or how about whole sets of stuff, like a Simpsons Mouse, Mousemat, Keyboard, Game, Screensaver etc.
Loads of people here have sites, why not offer to let them have the FOG discussion linked and displayed on their sites as well?
Or would that involve some kind of multi-million programming overhaul and a few sleepless months for our Webmaster?
I know you can do it with the Coolboard system of discussion boards, but for the priviledge of having the FOG discussion board placed on my site, so that my users could interract with it too, I would be willing to pay, er.....
OK, you decide. I'm open to negotiation.
Either way, having these discussions added to other sites and being contributed to by other site users would really up the post counts, add varied content, and if it got displayed on an American site somewhere it would add flavour.
(plus we could bash some Yank newbies, what fun!!)
Well the ideas were so good that we deleted the whole topic to avoid our competitors getting their mits on it.
We closed the competition early because there were already 800 replies and we have go go through all of those to work out which ones to use.
Anyway - it fell off the first page. Which is why I am POPPING this one.
