Ah that fantastic actor come dodgy fundamentalist.
Wasn't he great in... no wait, that was Bruse Willis... he was good in.. hmm... Danny Glover was good in the Lethal Weapons, does that count?...
Well he was in.. no, that sucked too.

Nevertheless, Christian America's second favourite pin-up is bringing his new gig to the UK.
What I want to know is this:

Will you go to see The Passion of the Christ ?


Personally, I'm in 2.. no, 3 minds about it:

- I'd quite like to go judge for myself whether it really is anti-semitic, and by the sounds of things it's probably a fairly good gore fest.

- But I'm tempted to avoid it as I don't want to support the success of Gibson's venture or expose myself to a couple of hours of Christianity.

- I'm also tempted to avoid it as, for us non-believers, it'd probably be little more than a boring gore fest and I really can't be bothered with that.



Without turning the thread into a soapbox for preaching your (supposed) religious beliefs (you know who you are, get your own forum ;^p ), what are your views?
Lets keep it to the film please people!

Just been reading your 'Poison Christ' page Forest Fan, it's as bad as when nerds criticise Lord of the Rings and other such movie adaptions of books for not staying true to the original text. The points the mong makes are petty and stupid.

Such as

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOh cancel the film, they're perverting the words of the living god by giving him a cloth to wipe his face.

'The Passion of the Christ' is just violence, without a story. A true Gospel presentation would explain what Jesus on the cross meant, we can be cleansed from sin.
