Just to let those of you who care know, I have decided not to go ahead with the operation tomorrow for various reasons. It's been a hard decision to come to, but its the one that feels most right for me. Thanks for all your support through this, it really is appreciated. You've been true internet buddies! :)

Not at all?
Fair enough, but.. well, I hope it turns out to be the best decision for you.

It's good to hear that you've made a decision and gone with what you felt was best. I've been thinking about you and your situation lately, but haven't felt able to give you any advice as I couldn't imagine how you must be feeling.

I must admit to feeling some anger towards those around you, though, as it seems that they are making little or no effort to support you. Have you learned any swear words in sign language yet?

All my love, Lind, and we'll always be here for you. Next time you come over to "sunny" England give me a bell and I'll put the kettle on!

I suppose it's good to hear that you've finally laid the decision to rest, and that you can think to the future now.

All the best with everything Lindgren, I sincerely hope everything turns out good for you.

I understand perfectly. You figured quality of life was more important than length, should worst come to worst. I would never have gone ahead with it either. I don't know how I would cope being deaf. It isn't something I could have done, making a decision like that.
