Just to let those of you who care know, I have decided not to go ahead with the operation tomorrow for various reasons. It's been a hard decision to come to, but its the one that feels most right for me. Thanks for all your support through this, it really is appreciated. You've been true internet buddies! :)

Your lecturer needs a slap. What she did was quite inconsiderate and frankly stupid. How does acting like that help you feel any better?

your friend should be beside you no matter what decision you make. It isn't his/her place to judge you, they should simply support you.

Gah, what a motley crew. Good job you have us!

She gave me a right ear-bashing today, and she wasn't the only one...

I got nothing but grief today from those around me that knew of the operation. My lecturer/programme head started crying when she saw me in and hugged me in front of the entire class, and muttered the words "we dont want you to die" at least twice in the space of 15 minutes. She really freaked me out to be honest. My closest friend isnt talking to me because of my decision not to go ahead either.

I usually dislike posting in threads where I feel I can’t make an inappropriate joke, but because it’s you, here I am. Good luck, lass.
