Yes another WoW post, I will save you the need to urge your peni towards the keyboard in a desperate attempt to point this out...

Pretty sweet RPG so far, only a couple of hours in. Haven't quite seen why so many people have been fapping like porn monkeys over it yet but have been told by plenty you are no-where near scratching the surface of it yet (which I can believe by the sheer size of it so far).

Chose to be a Dwarf in the end, a Warrior Dwraf with possibly the ugliest face ever. Kicks ass in battle, spent ages at the opening of Dragonmaw fighting the wolves and troggs to level up a bit. One thing that is decent is that everyone who I have come across so far has been pretty helpful and not even slightly c*ck faced.

Interface is sweet, the layout was easy enough to get to grips with after the initial "this is just one area, wtf?!". The environments make Lisa Riley's mu*f saddle looking like a toddler's paddling pool.

Controls are easy, the magic areas aren't even slightly geeky from what I have come across so far, just drag it onto the bar and click it when you need it. Haven't really bought much yet but that too seems simple enough to use and from what I gather it nails other MMORPG's for its less geeky approach. For a first time MMORPG'er' I have founs it fack easy to get into and nothing like what I expected (only in a good way though).

Visually it is sweet, the soundtrack is awesome, the presentation is spot on etc etc *fap fap*

Wish I didn't have work tomorrow but life's a b*tch!

Yep, start in lakes around Goldshire until you start catching. They'll escape at 1st a lot, but stick with it. It's the easiest way to feed your pet - although Dave won't eat anything else now, despite me trying to force-feed him "Pound of Flesh" from a crypt.
If all else fails, buy lures from the guys on piers.
Stick with it, I can't advance my fishing now without going to Booty Bay (I'm about 150rating) and can happily fish armour & loot out now.

Got up to level 15 last night and managed to tame this fack off beast of a pet (also level 15). When I first started playing, picking up the odd coppers here and there I really couldn't see how you could build up to gold coins but after scanning Darkshore last night and the woods around it I scammed 70 silver (through skinning/leatherwork and selling anything I collected) in no time at all which gave me a pretty good chance to buy some better armour and train in a few more areas. With the beast, sweet ass bow, decent dagger and the odd spell here and there the Hunter has proven to be a pretty decent warrior which was something I didn't expect.

Got around 5-6 really tough quests on at the moment though so I really did need to beef up a little otherwise it really would have been panties down and take it like a man. Might just go on a quest to find Ironforge in order to learn some new skills, seems like the only place that can pretty much train you in anything/everything.

One thing that is facking me off a little is fishing. Any tips? I have a rod and that's about it, can't seem to catch any/see any.

There was one person yesterday. Me and Grix looking for people for Gnomeregan, and she joined. Then a lvl 22 warrior joined and she was all 'OMG WTF? LOW LEVEL n00b!'

She left. And the warrior was a gimp. And i died and left

:D

I almost shat myself there, i was running cautiously through when a stealthed tarantula appeared out of no where, for an arachnaphobic that's no laughing matter.

This is just waaaaaay too addictive. Didn't get back from Tyneside until early Sunday morning but in-between the football I just couldn't keep away from it. Now level 13 with a pet, joined a guild (yeah yeah I know but it really isn't like that) and found a group of really decent people that aren't moany little tw*ts.

The guild idea is just so I have people who will help as and when, no formal crap, no meeting up for wizard sex or hanky panky with the woodweb spiders.

Got a pet as well which is sweet as, the first one I had ran away because I didn't feed it, the little cheeky b*stard ;) Got a second one, realised that if you don't feed it it loses loyality, nearly had a fit and lost the will to live as it was like Black and White all over again. Thankfully that is all it needs as well as a bit of sexual healing.

Had a first drop out out of around 50 hours of play and when I tried to reconnect it said my character already existed, nearly had a fit. Waited 10 minutes and went back on to find the beast had been killed, had another fit as I couldn't tame another animal as it said I already had one. Didn't realise you had to learn a resurrect skill. A lesson to be learnt, read the f**king manual, even if it has the depth of Lisa Riley's bum fluff.

Loving it so much now though, absolutely freaking superb game, can't wait to get home from work to continue which is quite sad really :)

Got Chaos Theory arriving on the Xbox either today/tomorrow as well and then Swat 4 on Friday, I struggle to get to time to play an odd 30 minutes here and there.

Occasionally you'll get to see people arguing with automated defence channel, unaware that they are in fact shouting at the game. That always raises a smile.

Nope. Apart from one weird girl, everyone I've met has been amazingly well natured and helpfull. It's almost enough to give me faith in online gaming again after CS:S..........
